What type of foundation can my carport be installed on?
You can install your prefab metal building on a variety of foundations including soil, asphalt, concrete, concrete strip, concrete piers, wood, and others. It is important that you inform our building specialists the correct foundation to assure your building is delivered with the correct anchoring system. Please allow at least 72 hours for your concrete foundation to set prior to the delivery of your building.
We offer a variety of anchors:
Rebar anchor – This is the standard anchor with all buildings. It is used on all surface types except concrete.
Mobile home anchor – MHA are used to anchor structures on soil. You can add MHA in addition to rebar anchors.
Asphalt anchors – Are used to secure buildings on asphalt foundations. They can be added in addition to rebar anchors.
Concrete anchors – They are used on concrete slabs, concrete piers, or concrete strip foundations.
If I am installing the prefab building on a cement slab, how big does the slab have to be?
If you are installing on cement, the slab needs to be at least 3” wider than the building size. You can request the building to be the same size of the slab to have water/rain flush from the panels. Please be sure to discuss your foundation preferences with our building specialists.

What happens if my site is not exactly leveled?
Please let our building specialists know if the installation site is not leveled. You can have a building installed on a site that is not leveled, but additional costs may be applied.
What dimensions are available for carports?
Building dimensions are listed as Width x Length x Height. We offer buildings from 12’ to 60’ wide, and up to 75’ long. Please refer to your local building department to verify the allowable building dimensions prior to making your purchase. Some counties have limitations on squared footage of additional structures and or limitations on the height of additional structures.
Our building heights refer to the wall height of the building. Please remember that the pitch of the building adds an additional height at the peak of the building.
What are my building warranties?
We provide a 30-day workmanship and 20-year rust through warranty. Certified buildings are designed to follow local wind and snow load ratings, by an engineer. The difference between certified and non-certified units is that certified units are built to specifications to meet local building requirements. It may require additional costs because it may require additional material than a standard unit.
Can I add insulation to my building?
You can add insulation to the building. Ask our building specialists about our products available.
Can solar panels be installed on my building?
Please inform our building specialists of the intended use of the carport. If you plan to add solar panels to the building, the building must be designed to carry the additional roof load.
How can I pay for my purchase?
